This is more dumb than that railway worker looking for an excuse for being late for work.

According to a Japanese railway company, a 28 year old train driver secretly took photos of a pair of women sitting behind the driver’s seat, risking the lives of people who were on board. He released his hands from the brake handle for seven seconds to turn around and take photos of the women through the gap of the curtains behind the driver’s seat. How was it risky? He failed to look ahead while the train was running approximately at the speed of 120 km/hr.

Although he was trying to be sneaky about it, the women noticed the flash from the camera and informed the train’s conductor.

His excuse? “The women were eye catching to me. I knew I was doing something that should never be done, but I just couldn’t help but take photos of them.”

The Japanese railway company has been making efforts to restore the public’s trust in them since its derailment accident in 2005 that killed 107 passengers. Of course this little incident doesn’t help the cause. The driver shall be strictly punished.
