Namie Amuro will have her Best Fiction tour released on Blu-ray on Sept. 9 and be one of few artists to ever grace such a high definition format. Oddly enough, Japan who is light years ahead of technology is handicapped by the world’s out of date standards and sees few releases on Blu-ray. What’s the point of my HDTV? Oh well.. The other Avex artist you can catch on Blu-ray is Ayumi Hamasaki.

Most of BoA’s music tours and other Avex artists are filmed on hi-res film so converting to Blu-ray would be a cinch. I hope that Avex will release BoA’s tours and MVs in HD as well.

BoA is supposedly the Korean Britney Spears by ET standards. Yuck!

I am looking forward to this. I don’t know if I’ll buy this but this is good for Namie! Her Live DVDs always sell well and it’s nice to see that Avex is actually promoting her instead of staying in the shadows while they pay more attention to Ayumi and Koda.

Yep, there are 3 regions. Region A is US, Japan. So I guess if you’d bought them, you’d be able to play them. smile
