Here is Song Hye Gyo in a photoshoot for Laneige lipstick. There were four different themes (1. Matt Pink, 2. Orange Bloom, 3. Pink Fever, and 4. So Pink) and different hairstyles showing her sexiness and sophisticated look. More »

From Ziggytek: When you think of photography, you never think of quirky cameras. But this Japanese police-issue camera takes it into a stranger level. The camera, the DORYU 2-16, has camera lenses attached to a gun. It’s a pistol camera! More »

What’s worse than coming home from a school reunion as one of few single people in attendance only to find that your imaginary best friend (Freida Pinto) and the man of some of your dreams (Dev Patel) are now a couple? More »

(Date of birth: August 12, 1989).

The Wondergirls appearance at this week’s Fox Teen Choice Awards was considered a major offense by The Fashion Police. Their crime? Wearing the same outfit twice. Oddly enough, my police badge is nowhere in sight — I’m basically off duty for the sake of this post. I forgive them. For one, times are tough. Two, who in America pays attention to outfits you wore for some lesser-known Korean awards event in 2008? Also, the pop music world likes it when you keep up with the same fashion schtick. More »

From Ziggytek: We’ve all heard the whistling kettle, screaming when the water is done boiling. Thanks to Naoki Kawamoto’s Music Kettle, we can now listen to a nice tune when our water is done boiling. Although this is a nice and peaceful way to enjoy your tea, the single whistle of the conventional kettle is what kept you on your feet. More »

I’m not necessarily a fan of Dane Cook but I am a big fan of him putting VaneXXXa Hudgens on blast at yesterday’s Teen Choice Awards. Sadly, Fox made the decision of cutting out his VaneXXXa nude picture comments. The comedian revealed to MTV.com that he won’t apologize for his comments, but he’ll definitely “take the hit” for any criticism he receives. Dane Cook, I got nothing but praise for you. Nothing but praise. Here’s Dane Cook saying exactly what is on our minds: More »

Sometimes, I feel like I’m a dysfunctional faucet. Lucky for you, I only leak the goods. A preview of a song from G-Dragon’s upcoming solo album was leaked by the man himself via Me2day. Think Twitter but for Korea. The song is called Butterfly and for only being a 30-second long preview, its gone above and beyond my expectations. It basically sounds like the beginning of a song you’d find on indie music buzz blogs a la Stereogum.com. Not at all like the avant garde hip hop I was expecting. However, 30 seconds is 30 seconds. So people, is this a hit or a miss? More »

…not Kwon Sang Woo. Although it was reported by The Korea Times that Kwon Sang Woo was THISCLOSE to nailing the role of Kato, Columbia Pictures recently issued an official statement naming Jay Chou as The Green Hornet’s Kato. This in no way is depressing news — a sexy, talented Asian male celebrity is still intact for Kato. More »

With heels on, I’m a good 6′2″ and typically not much of a man magnet. (Flat heels, now that’s a different story!) For R and B songstress Erika David, that is enough reason to sing. Well, not entirely, but her debut single and music video out is called “My Heels.” Apparently, wearing heels works for Erika. The song and video are a little too cheesy for my liking, but Erika clearly has the vocal chops and beauty. Czech out her music video for “My Heels”: More »

On Thursday night, August 6th, Lincoln Center Out of Doors opened its second night of free performances with “Hip Hop Generation Next.” This event featured martial arts, hip hop dance, bboying, live music, and everything in between. Despite forecasted rain, it was actually a nice warm night that attracted a capacity crowd. More »

California heat topped with sheer boredom has got me on this nude-picture taking kick. Taking pictures of my naked, nubile self is all there is to do here guys, seriously. Especially with my new gold belly dancer belt. Living as an attractive person is just so hard! More »

Ugh, long and intense week. So we’ll make this short. Top three winners are ludachris714, ContagiousLaughter, and binkybin. I think this is the first time for ContagiousLaughter and binkybin. They each win the pictured 2NE1 poster. More »

From Ziggytek: Love gadgets? Bored at home? Well, why don’t you just build a helicopter. That’s what one man did in China. Wu Zhongyuan, 20, of Luoyang, China, built a real life helicopter from elmwood and steel pipes. Talk about being creative. Not only did he built the helicopter but he flew it 2,600 feet in the air. Did you know that Vanessa Hudgens is one of the most searched for person on Ningin? Ever since last February where she shed her Disney image (among other things), she’s become a household name. Next week she’ll be starring in a move called Bandslam where she’ll play a guitar-wielding misfit name Sa5m. In case you’re wondering, the 5 is silent. Sa5m forms an unlikely band with her high school friends to compete at some contest called Bandslam. Just think variation on High School Musical. More »

We’ve already covered Charlene Yi’s Paper Heart movie a couple of times already with an initial preview and a focus on the Dirty Dancing spoof. (I believe Jinra is still fuming over that fact that Michael Cera chose Yi over her.) All kidding aside, this is a big movie for Yi. It’s her first screenplay and producer credit. If things go well – all indications is that it will – then she’ll be on her way to a successful Hollywood career. More »

Next spring, Jet Li will star alongside Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables, an action film that is not about my income. (Get it? Expendable income? Not funny? Okay.) So far, all that’s known about this film is that it sounds like any old action film: A group of mercenaries travel to South America to overthrow a dictator. More »

Girls were chanting and screaming; traffic was completely stopped. It could only mean a big boy band was in town. On all sides of the Staples Center there were kids in large clusters in a ratio of 8 to 2 - girls to boys. The Jonas Bros weren’t even in site yet but the girls were already screaming anytime a person would say, “Scream if you love Jonas Bros!” More »

From Ziggytek: Robots from Nagoya, Japan cook up a bowl of ramen noodles in under two minutes, serve 80 bowls of noodles a day and when not in business, perform a show of spinning plates for the customers. Bet you’ve never seen that before. The video is a must see and reminds us of the quirky movements and enjoyable comedy of our beloved Wall-E. More »

The trailer for The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, starring Jeremy Piven, has been just about everywhere making it pretty hard to ignore. In the trailer, there’s one scene where an Asian guy get’s beat down during a Pearl Harbor speech. That Asian guy is comedian/medical doctor Ken Jeong who is very rapidly making a career out of bit Asian parts in senseless B-comedies. In the past two years he’s been in The Hangover, Role Models, Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, and a bunch of TV guest appearances. More »
