Chinese truck driver Zhou, jumped from a ferry and into a river to escape his wife’s nagging.

Zhou and his wife were on a ferry on the Yangtze River until he couldn’t handle her anymore. The ship’s crew saw him run out of his cabin, with his hands covering his ears and shouting “I can’t stand it any longer.” At first it seemed that Zhou had an issue with his ears but the crew confirmed that he was alright. While the crew was confused at the situation, Zhou’s wife ran up to him with her nagging which caused Zhou to recover his ears and yell, “I need a break” and jump into the flowing river below.

The crew immediately started to search for the husband but couldn’t find him anywhere nearby. Later that night he was found by police and apparently, he swam about 2km across the broad river.

What did he have to say about all of this? “I felt I was dying, but even that’s better than my wife’s nagging.”

The two lovebirds were reunited at a police station the following morning where Zhou’s wife made a thrilling promise: To give up her nagging habit. Isn’t marriage wonderful?
