Lots of great movies featuring Asian actors came out this summer from The Hangover to Star Trek. Check out my list of the top 5 movies of the summer.

1. The Hangover. This movie was beyond funny. In fact, my dean was talking to me about it, how he missed half the movie because he kept laughing. I am telling you to go watch this movie right now! Dr. Ken was so funny. He was like the Asian gangster in this movie.

2. G.I. Joe. I was wondering if it was going to be some children’s movie because G.I. Joe is an action figure. However, with Lee Byung Hun and a good story line, it was pretty nice. There were lots of funny scenes as well.

3. Haeundae. This movie is a Korean disaster movie. It was one of the 5 movies in Korea that was able to reach 10,000,000 viewers. Unfortunately, the movie was copied and uploaded online.

4. Star Trek. I’m guilty of not watching John Cho play Sulu in this Star Trek movie, but it did great this summer in the box office. It’s on my list of movies I need to watch.

5. White on Rice. Finally, a comedy about Asian Americans, featuring an all Asian cast. This just came out and I’m dying to see this.

What were your top 5 movies of the summer?
