Why are thousands of people anticipating this drama? Two words: The cast! The Iris cast includes G.I.Joe star, Lee Byung Hyun, Big Bang’s T.O.P. and Kim Tae Hee.

As always, Lee Byung Hyun is looking as fantastic as ever. 2009 is the year for him, with G.I.Joe being released and loved, his new movie I Come with the Rain and now Iris. The cast also includes one of Korea’s most beautiful women, Kim Tae Hee. If you watch a lot of variety shows in Korea, and the subject of beauty is being talked about, Kim Tae Hee is always mentioned. In addition, the person she filmed a recent commercial with is also part of the cast. Who is it? Big Bang’s T.O.P! Talk about one heck of a cast, right?

I don’t know much about producing movies or dramas, but I can tell you they are spending a lot of money on this and if it fails, (which will never happen in my opinion…), they will be in deep trouble. Iris is a spy/thriller drama. It’s the first of its kind in Korea, since Korea tends to have romantic dramas and comedies. No doubt Lee Byung Hyun was the right person for the role!
