In Japan, the emergency number is 119. So if you have an emergency like being stabbed a few times or your house if burning down, you would call 119. However some people can’t grasp the meaning of what an emergency is and Kazuko Komae falls into this category of people.

The 48 year old woman supposedly dialed the emergency number 157 times between March 1 and June 29, stating that she was tired. What kind of reason is that? I wish I could call 911 every time my fridge is empty but I know the problem could be solved by getting off my lazy bum. What’s worse is when the 46 times that ambulances were actually dispatched to her home, she would just use inappropriate language and tell them to leave. What a waste of an ambulance (not to mention gas).

She was eventually arrested for distrubing police on duty by having them react to her nonsense calls. And like every other person who gets arrested, she denies the charges.
