Although BoA has been absent in the American market, she picks up where she left off in Japan with a plethora of promotions. On Oct. 24, she’ll appear in NEC POWER COUNTDOWN JAPAN HOT 30. She’ll also be making a return to upcoming issues “Smart,” “Popteen,” “S-Cawaii!,” and “Sweet” magazines. Will she be in all the covers or just inside features?

I don’t know the details yet, but I do know Popteen has some of my favorite cutesy photo shoots. Hey you know what, though? I’m a guy and no one in Japanese stores actually looks at you funny for buying a girls fashion magazine. (Stares at huge Japanese fashion magazine collection in corner.)

Who knows what happened to BoA’s promotions for her deluxe album? The labels are hush hush about that, and I hope that whatever they are doing is the right choice.

BTW, what year are your magazines from? I stopped buying in 2005 for some reason. I’ve realized that whatever was trendy in 2005 in Japan...is no longer trendy anymore. It took 4 years! Amazing.


I actually don’t have any mags from this year, I gotta catch up lol. I have some from 2004-2008.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but a large portion of Japanese websites have very sparse photo galleries (small images) and still rely heavily on magazine sales. Magazines are much larger and fully featured compared to the toilet paper grade we have here, however. The import cost here is expensive too, thats why I’ve refrained from buying. $13.50 for one magazine.. When you have to decide to get 3 meals out of it or a magazine it can be a tough choice in this economy.


Aw, that’s awesome. I will buy it if I see it, but if I don’t, don’t think I’ll bother to do anything else. smile it’s great to see BoA back but yeah, SM Ent. should make her focus in America atm… WG are way in front now D:

Good luck! The one pictured is a 2006 edition of Popteen. BoA hasn’t released the photos of her magazine spreads, just yet wink

Magazines are toughest to collect, esp since its from Japan and you can’t write to them to request back issues!! @__@;; cries


ugh. i wish i had a time machine then.


^ don’t feel bad. I don’t have this one either :( . ONCE IN A WHILE...they pop up on ebay, sometimes cheap, sometimes for OUTRAGEOUS prices.

And I don’t know if BoA used the lip plumper makeup here, but her lips are SO HOT. <3

it works best if you use a tiny bit of mint toothpaste instead of just the wet toothbrush
