From Girlybubble: It’s a universal fact that women go to crazy extremes to achieve bigger eyes; plastic surgery, eyelid tape, eyelid glue, white eyeliner, eyelash extensions, fake eyelashes and well now… LED eyelashes. The LED lashes features an “inclination sensor” with mercury that can perceive the movements of the pupil in the eyes and eyelids. If someone wears it and moves her head, the LED eyelashes will flicker following the movement. More »

Ah Korea, the land flowing of milk and honeys. The list of top 10 hotties were decided not just by looks alone, but by their multiple talents. It takes more to impress me than just being a boring model. Dancing, acting, modeling, fashion sense, charm, legs and of course the cute and the sexy factor were all factors. My sister actually voted for the top 3. Oh heck, who’s complaining? I think she nailed it. Notice the three “Y”s, Yoona, Yoobin, Yuri. Can we just convert that to 3 yes’s? How about 3 hell yeah’s? The Astro Boy film has blasted off into theaters everywhere, leaving us with this week’s pin game results. Astro Boy was yet another one of those films we all had expected to do well, but proved us otherwise. This time around, it was our skeptical pin game players that won. When it comes to remade films, we’re all very skeptical and apprehensive. Perhaps we should take note of that for the next time a classical film is remade into a modern one. This week, Astro boy closed in at Rottentomatoes with 48%. Not bad, but we all wanted better. More »

Last week of October makes me think about Halloween. I don’t know about you guys, but I think Halloween is the most magical time of the year, even moreso than Xmas. You see, Halloween is when it’s ok to take candy from strangers. It’s ok to dress up like anime characters walking down the street or speak Klingon in public. Colleges around the country throw theme parties where everyone dresses from the 70s, or their favorite Harry Potter character, or cross-dress like the opposite sex. People can wear scream masks or goalie masks without everyone around them freaking out. Of course, the Jabbawockeez can go into a bank without others thinking they’re gonna rob the place. Call me crazy, but isn’t that a better world than the one we live in 364 days out of the year? Because Halloween is so special, Jinra and the Ningin Bloggers, have put together a NINE part special dedicated to Halloween. It’s the least we can do. While we’re on the subject of All Hallows’ Eve, Justin Chon from the Twilight vampire movies was kind enough to give us an interview. For those that want to throw a historic China theme party, you might want to check out this free showing of John Woo’s Red Cliff. More »

Is there ever a quiet week in 2pm-ville? Just when I though it was going to be slow, because there was a few quiet days — but oh no way, it happens to be one of the more crazy 2PM weeks! And since you guys/gals thought my first 3 segments were informative, and somewhat entertaining (?) I’ll keep pressing on, in this past week in the life of 2PM. More »

From Girlybubble: Aside from telling me I’m my mother’s most beautiful daughter (her only daughter), my mother tells me she loves me often. Looking at these Japanese bento box art scans from “Waku Waku Kyaracuta No Obentou” (Exciting Character Bentos), I find this hard to believe. How can you tell your own daughter you love her, knowing full well that you sent her off to private school in the early 90s with Lunchables for lunch almost daily? More »

Wow. This song was beautiful. First time hearing it, but it was nice. 2AM Seul Ong has a very good voice. I always knew 2AM were a group of ballad singers, but I didn’t think Seul Ong’s voice fits 2AM. I mean, there are good singers in 2AM, so it’s hard to stand out. More »

More Kpop recognition! Well not really. In fact, the CNN report was basically about the technology of the Korean phones which are SO amazing.
