Just when it was suspected that K-pop has run out of ideas, they throw us a very interesting curve. More »

Imagine a world in which humans coexist harmoniously with androids. It’d be a world in which I’d never have to clean my room ever again or be that friend you call at 3 a.m. to pick you up when you’re drunk because that’s what my android is for. Unfortunately for you and me, this is not our world but that of Astro Boy’s. If you’ve been living under a rock these past few weeks, you’ll know that this Friday will be the theatrical release of the new CGI version of the popular anime, by the same name. Notably, is it highly regarded as the classic anime series that first launched anime into existence. How could we not have an Astro Boy pin game? More »

The Kashiwa Mystery Cafe is a very unique place that once you eat there, you will never forget it. From what I have seen the food is quite ordinary and the place looks like a regular outdoor cafe. So what makes Kashiwa Mystery Cafe so strange? It’s actually the rules you have to follow when you order… More »

By copying Yu Gi Oh? On Yenny’s twitter, some fan asked her to upload a scary picture. I guess since Halloween is coming up, it was the right time to do it. Yenny DID upload a picture, but, I don’t think it was scary. I think it just made her look more beautiful. More »

From Girlybubble: The other day I had my heart broken by recent discovery of donuts being completely high in trans fats. (Why didn’t anyone tell me?!) Instead of falling into a state of donut depression, I toughened up and channeled my inner Pon De Lion for fierceness. Instead of drowning my sorrows in a box of…donuts, I did what any other recovering donut addict would do — find more Pon De Lion commercials and toys. More »

Welcome back lazy readers! This is another segment of the week in 2pm. I’m glad you all were able to digest my easy to read articles, because we know what time we are wasting sifting through all the hundreds of articles about the same thing. It’s been a little quieter than the rest of the previous weeks — perhaps because the Hottests are in fact human, and need to recover sometimes. This does not mean nothing was going on, but many important breakthroughs behind the scene were unveiled. More »

Jessica of Girls’ Generation, as was announced earlier was selected to do Legally Blonde the musical by an entertainment company, because they said she had the hair. Well there was much more to it, but they were joking, of course. More »

SHINee, one of my favorite guy groups in Kpop right now have just released the music video for their new song, “Ring Ding Dong.” The best part about SHINee is that they sort of sing different songs other than normal Kpop songs considering they are a “contemporary group,” which they are. Their songs from “Noonan nomu Yeppuh” (*Older Girl* you are so pretty), Love Like Oxygen, A.Mi.Go, Juliette and now Ring Ding Dong has a new feel and rhythm. More »

JQT has a new debut MV out! It’s called “I fell for you” Its one of those tracks that really get you going in the day, highly energetic and very addictive! With a track like this, without excess editing overshadowing their vocal abilities, focus on their singing, dancing and not some other distraction, they have a high chance of survival this fall. Are you tired of hearing more about Girls’ Generation, dominating the world? Heck no! Unless you’re an alien and are looking to take over our planet. Hey sorry Aliens, we may like girls with big eyes, but not ones the size of dinner plates. As you may or not know, Kpop is dominant in most Asian countries, even over their own domestic music. From Girlybubble: As if there aren’t enough signs in the world telling me that life isn’t fair, I come across these Japanese fashion magazine scans of women fabulously rocking a hairstyle most women would wear on their ‘day off.’ Odango is Japanese for dumpling — if you can think of a ‘dumpling hair concept,’ you can easily visualize it as just being a messy bun on top of your head. And it’s painfully easy to do: More »

It looks like BoA is ready to dominate Japan’s Oricon! Today, BoA didn’t make her official comeback, but she was a guest of Music Station. It could be that she is ready to release Bump Bump soon, and she is showing herself to the public to spark up some interest. More »

On the Day 1 of Seoul Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010, Daul Kim and Choi Kang Hee were seen in the same 3.1 Phillip Lim Marabou jacket at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. Although both of them were donning the same jacket, their styling seem vastly different. Who wore it better? More »

Remember how YG Entertainment responded to G-Dragon’s plagiarism? They included Mariah Carey’s new single, Standing O, mentioning it could have plagiarized 2NE1’s In the Club. What was her response? More »

My Dearest B2ST, I am writing you to convey my gratitude for the “Bad Girl” song you wrote about me. It’s so bad that it went to good, but instead of going back to bad, it stayed good. Same goes for the newly released Bad Girl music video teaser. I wouldn’t expect anything else from a song about me being bad. After all, I am indeed, bad. I’m probably a step further than Rihanna or Leighton Meester in terms of “good girl gone bad.” I’m just plain bad, for a few reasons: More »

Kangin of SM boy band Super Junior has just been given a DUI, and now just gave an apology. He hit a taxi and then proceeded to abandon the scene, turning himself in.What was he thinking? People who are drunk, don’t think. I don’t get it though. Usually boy bands always have guards with them and escorts around the clock, like little evil spike-collared watchdogs that snap at you if you even say hi to one of them. More »

This week, Korean queen of pop idols, Lee Hyori auctioned off some of her performance and TV show outfits, photoshoot ensembles and some of the hottest and most renowned outfits that Hyori herself has worn in the name of charity. Some of the outfits were worn during her music videos like, ‘U-Go-Girl’, and ‘Hey Mr. Big.’ Here’s some of what was auctioned off: More »

In Japan, the emergency number is 119. So if you have an emergency like being stabbed a few times or your house if burning down, you would call 119. However some people can’t grasp the meaning of what an emergency is and Kazuko Komae falls into this category of people. More »

This October, many will rise, but only few may stand. I don’t make up the rules, it’s just the natural order of things. The sheer amount of Kpop groups coming up this Fall is in record breaking numbers, and it’s only hurting their chances of standing out of the competition. It’s the rule of competition. If 12 or so groups are debuting in a month, of the same genre, it’s the peoples’ natural selection to rule out the ones who are the least. More »

B2ST changes their name and releases their new song, Bad Girl! I was impressed with their dance skills, but their songs are pretty good. Again I say, I can’t really tell if they have good vocals because of all the autotuning and pitch correction tools they are using, but the song is good. I love this type of intro. It’s rhythmic, and sweet. More »
