The two part Chinese epic war film Red Cliff, written and directed by John Woo, will be coming to a theatre near you on November 18th as a single 150 minute film. If you love Chinese history but don’t have the time or patience to sit through the 280 minute original (unreleased in the US), this movie is a must see. More »

You know its been SO LONG, ages since another new K-pop group was announced to be debuting. I mean if you scroll through the Ningin blogs, you won’t find any… (extreme sarcasm). More »

Girls Generation are here first to present their version of Chocolate Love commercial. So why did the girls choose LG out of all the phones out there? Does it have to do with anything of it being chocolate? Hmm, that’s reasonable, because I know very few girls that I can name actually dislike chocolate. More »

From Girlybubble: Living in Southern California isn’t exactly conducive to wearing fleece. Whenever an Old Navy Performance Fleece commercial is on the tube, I’m often left wondering about situations in which I’d have to actually use fleece. I’ve only narrowed it down to two situations: 1. Hell really does freeze over, making California legitimately cold. 2. I somehow start working in a subzero freezer, at a slaugther house. Or the most probable of situations, 3. I come across Hair-mo, a kawaii accessories brand from Taiwan and immediately want a Hair-mo pouch. More »

Have you ever entered a Japanese sushi restaurant with your friends and had no idea what you’re eating but ordered anyways to look smooth, only to screw up the pronunciation of the roll, making yourself look like a fool? Well, have no fear! A sushi app is here! More »

This song is beyond good. I wish this song was featured on an album! If you haven’t been on Ningin, then you missed some pretty important news. Girls’ Generation and their new younger sister group, f(x), shot a commercial together for the LG Chocolate phone. Both groups recorded a song. Both songs are so great. It’s too hard to choose which one is better! More »

Epik High aren’t exactly old, people. Just erase that from your state of your mind. However, they’re at the age of change and growth. Just recently we had news of leader Tablo having a kid on the way and now two big news events will occur in DJ Tukutz’s life. More »

From Girlybubble: Lady Gaga and I have tons in common. Nevermind the fact that I’m not a chart-topping pop princess or musically talented. We both love fashion and we both love Hello Kitty. We also love it when both collide. Only, she has the advantage of having a designer create a dress made entirely out of plush Hello Kitty dolls for a recent kawaii-inspired photo shoot for Sanrio. And of course, my complete attention and adoration for Lady Gaga wearing nothing but Hello Kitty. More »

This was my first reaction after watching this video. Apparently some dude who was taking the MUNI in San Francisco recorded this on his cell phone. Two middle aged women were duking it out for a seat on the MUNI and their exchange became heated. I thought one of them was my aunt (obviously the Asian one) when all I heard from her were the f word and stupid (that’s how she talks to my uncle).  Anyway, things got really heated and punches were thrown. Before you know it, we have a full reenactment of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon meets Mortal Kombat. More »

Chickens. Yes, chickens fight over the Wonder Girls. Well, they aren’t fighting OVER the Wonder Girls but they are having a dance-off to Wonder Girls’ popular single, Nobody. This is just one of the many signs of Wonder Girls’ popularity worldwide. JYP must be thrilled having his song be known around the world. He is a genius. My first impression of this video was : WTF? Apparently earlier this year, a man named Eddie Rath released an online album devoted to the manga/anime, Naruto. I thought it was absolutely awesome that an entire English album dedicated to an anime was available in the States (only in mp3 format however). But after listening to a few songs….let’s just say I had a different opinion. More »

So I thought I’d post some Girls’ Generation goodness because they look cute. What, you need a better reason? Puh-lease. I actually didn’t know what the hell a “Goobne” was, so I did like any idiot would do and Googled it. More »

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, BoA has been offered a role in a movie called Hype Nation. This movie is about music and dancing, so I am guessing this movie is going to be like 2006’sStep Up. More »
