Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki lives up to its name. I can’t describe it as anything but bizarre. The author himself is already strange as he hasn’t aged a bit and at 50 years old, he looks like he’s 20. It’s separated into 6 parts, each one a new story but borrowing concepts from the previous one. It follows the bloodline of the Joestar family and each story follows another member down the family tree.
This is one of my favorite manga of all time, maybe even my favorite. People might be put off by the art in the early volumes but it quickly improves. The style is very unique and easily recognized even from a glance. The wardrobe of the characters just get more bizarre with each story arc. The author also seems fond of putting in flamboyant and impossible poses which fans manage to pull off anyways.
These are just some of the tamer ones. They get anatomically impossible in some poses.
