Nyan Koi is a romantic comedy anime about a high school student allergic to cats. He gets cursed and can understand what cats are saying but he has to help 100 cats with their requests or turn into a cat and die from allergies.

It sounded stupid at first and I dismissed it as generic harem trash at first. But then I was convinced to at least check out the first episode by my friend. It was pretty amusing and it pushed me to give it the “3 episode test.” After finishing the 3rd episode, I was hooked. It’s still a bit cliched, main character gets all the girls, misunderstandings, etc. But it’s fun to watch and the characters are lovable, especially the side characters. It was definitely worth watching and is one of the series I will continue to follow this season.
