Tsunderes are a character archetype that you can’t resist loving. A relatively recent well known example for a tsundere would be Suzumiya Haruhi. J.C Staff is also obviously addicted with tsunderes, Shakugan no Shana, Zero no Tsukaima, To Aru Majutsu no Index all contain tsunderes. Rie Kugumiya is also well known as a voice actor for tsunderes.
A tsundere character is like a two sided personality. One is cold and harsh while the other is warm and affectionate. For example, in Zero no Tsukaima, Louise often abuses the main character, Saito. However she gets flustered when they’re alone, or jealous if he’s with another girl. The person’s actions contradict their feelings but that’s part of the charm. There’s even tsundere cafes where I would imagine they spill your coffee on you, abuse you, and as you’re leaving, timidly ask if you’re coming back again.
Would you come back? Thoughts on the tsundere?
