Policemen in Nagoya, Japan have found a way to catch purse snatchers without involving innocent bystanders: by cross dressing as women.

The cross dressing unit, consisting of 4 male officers with a height around 160 cm, has been roaming the streets of Nagoya since October. Each member knows some form of martial art which makes the capture of criminals easier. Donning wigs, high heels, short skirts, designer bags, and stockings, the force has been unsuccessful at nabbing any potential thieves thus far.

I understand the policemen’s good intentions, though I do wonder why they didn’t just hire policewoman who know how to fight and defend themselves. This might have been more effective. Also, now that this is on the Internet, I think purse snatchers in Nagoya will look twice at who they are stealing from before committing the crime.

haha....purse snatcher don’t care how their victims look like lol

^ I agree, it’s almost idiotic. What would make them think it would help? Don’t be sexist about it, and just use police women.

This is HILARIOUS!!!

^ yeah, it saddens me how pretty some guys can be :/

In Korea, this would work quite well. Cause a lot of the guys are feminine looking anyways.
