Facebook Connect is this cool feature that allows you to use your Facebook account to login and interact on all sites within the Mixr network. To put that in another way, all Mixr sites are connected via a common login and now you can use your Facebook account as that login. You’ll be able to comment, interact, gain EXP, invite your Facebook friends to BlitzNation, and have your activities on BlitzNation posted to your Facebook feed.

Keep in mind that this is a complex and deep integration of Facebook and the Mixr system. There might bugs every now and then so consider this Facebook integration to be in a beta stage. If you do find bugs, just fill out our contact form with as much detail as possible.

From Girlybubble: The history of Hello Kitty is both boring and fascinating at the same time. To start with, Hello Kitty has no real animated character design history. Unlike Mickey Mouse or Snoopy, she was not born out of a cartoon show or a video game. Put simply, Hello Kitty started out in the ’70s as an image put on stuff. Without any real advertising, the success of Hello Kitty skyrocketed Sanrio into a billion dollar business with half of the revenue from Hello Kitty. Still going strong today, it’s safe to say Hello Kitty’s got more than 9 lives. More »

Nissan took a page out of the lives of bees and fish when it designed the Eporo. While these little guys are not yet big enough to hold a family of four, they’re the first step in revolutionizing driver-less cars. More »

So you’re going to school soon? Why not head to Korea to Kyunghee University? Because all of the hot Kpop stars are going there. Did you graduate already? Oh hell who cares, get another degree because Son Dam Bi will be there. Don’t mind if I sit next to her in class, really I don’t. More »

Saturday was a more interesting and fun experience. There were a lot more people which meant that there were more cosplayers and more cosplayers means more fun! This was my first time seeing people cosplay in person and I have to say, I’m impressed by the quality of some of the costumes and the time the people dedicated to create such works of art. And yes, I think cosplay is an art form. More »

Bakuman, is a manga about two kids who want to write/draw manga. It seems like a boring idea and when I first started reading it, I wasn’t expecting much out of it. The first chapter I read didn’t really leave a good impression on me. It felt a bit awkward and the love story was too far-fetched. It’s the kind of story that gets better as you read it though. After following the series for a few weeks, its become something to look forward to every week. More »

From Girlybubble: Could this month go by without legitimately paying e-homage to our Queen of Cute’s 35th anniversary? Absolutely not! In honor of Hello Kitty turning 35 this month, GirlyBubble’s got a great week of Hello Kitty blog posts scheduled. More »

Another week in the 2PM drama, or is it? Oh, please there’s never a dull week in the dubbed top controversy of the year (or perhaps all time?) in the Kpop world. From Girlybubble: Aside from living a life devoid of materialism, there’s another thing Tibetan monks ought to be away from to maintain a focused, spiritual Tibetan monk life. To avoid this thing, much discipline is involved. Even an average non-Tibetan monk man has problems with this. It’s the Lhasa Apso dog. Lhasa, located in Tibet is considered a holy center and…the original home of small, cute, fluffy dogs with beady eyes. More »

The Japanese Maid Cafe has been the source of countless wet dreams for young male anime fans. Combining the twin joys of French maids with young Japanese women was a sure-fire marketing win, but then someone thought it would be a great idea to have those maids play video games and the idea went explosive. Thus the explosion of maid cafes around Japan. (I won’t even get started with the recent trend of Butler Cafes for women…) More »

All ramen fans, gather and celebrate this good news! Just when I thought I wasn’t going to see Girls’ Generation for a while, they come back again with a new commericial. This time it’s for SamYang Ramen. I have not heard of this ramen yet, but if they are willing to pay the famous Girls’ Generation, their product must be pretty good. More »

November is shaping up to be quite a month. We have a new website launching just about every week. The mysterious Swandiary launches this Friday the 13th. We picked that day for a good reason which will be revealed soon enough. We’re also designating November to be the official month of Ninjas, the site’s namesake. In honor of Ninja month, there will be TONS of ninja related coverage and giveaways. What could those giveaways possibly be? You might want to check out the upcoming Warner Bros movie, Ninja Assassin, for some ideas. Then of course, there’s Jinra’s birthday being this Thursday. Expect champagne and special pins that day. The previously mentioned game system contests are schedule to start sometime this week. And if you live in Rhode Island, Wirebot is hosting a Guitar Hero tournament with cash prizes. Sounds random I know, but it’s part of a much bigger plan which we’ll get into later. More »

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki lives up to its name. I can’t describe it as anything but bizarre. The author himself is already strange as he hasn’t aged a bit and at 50 years old, he looks like he’s 20. It’s separated into 6 parts, each one a new story but borrowing concepts from the previous one. It follows the bloodline of the Joestar family and each story follows another member down the family tree. More »
