December 10th is Apology Day in Japan. No, you don’t get a day off of work for it, nor are the stores filled with fun filled “I’m sorry I stole your soba” cards. But its a holiday none the less. To help kick off this years “I’m Sorry” fest is a site called Gomenne.jp which features hot Japanese girls apologizing for things. Every day, a different girl. (Yes, this is exactly what Japanese men find attractive.)

The part I find the most funny is that Japan is the country of apologies. Every minor inconvenience someone causes you gets an ‘I’m sorry.’ For example there is a fun saying in Japanese, “In America you start speeches with a joke. In Japan, we start speeches with an apology.”

Honestly Japan, do you really need a holiday for it?
