One thing I’ve always hated is how lazy janitors are. They’re always cleaning, and doing ‘work’, and ‘trying to make things look better.’ Blah. Who needs that when you can have a robot that picks up trash via laser!

Subaru, when not making cars, has made a robot janitor. It operates elevators, sometimes picks up trash and uses lasers to scan areas. Plus it is in no way evil or expensive at 46,000¥ ($500). Plus it gets a whole 2.5 hours to a charge!

But this does explain why much of Japan looks like its in need of a serious spit shine.
