I’m convinced that Gackt, despite being one of the sexiest men alive, will be single forever. Here are a few good reasons why…

1) He’s old.
Gackt claims to have been born in 1540, making him an impressive 470 years old in 2010. Assuming he’s not really a vampire pushing 500 (after all, he can be seen in broad daylight all the time and he doesn’t even sparkle), we can be pretty sure he’s a human pushing 40, and either way he’s beginning to show his age. By this time, most Japanese are married- even those working in the entertainment industry- so it’s probably safe to say it’s unlikely we’ll see him settle down. Ever.

2) He’s more plastic than a Ken doll.
Okay, so even if he never got plastic surgery, the man is outrageously pretty- too pretty to be real. In fact, he’s probably a cyborg. Either way, I don’t know a woman alive who is secure enough with her appearance to date- let alone marry- a man who is ten times more beautiful than she will ever be.

3) He’s eccentric.
I’m not going to beat around the bush: Gackt is just plain weird. Don’t believe me? Here are some examples: he claims to be a vampire born in the 1500s, he claims to have a sixth sense (i.e. he can see spirits), he occasionally cross-dresses, lives in a house with no windows or fluorescent lighting, and he insists on having a sparring match with all potential staff members. Although, I find his eccentricity charming, and I’m sure many women can look past it (after all, he is incredibly beautiful and talented), it doesn’t really make for a smooth relationship.

4) No woman can outdo Hyde.
As all Gackt fans know by now, Gackt is head over heels in love with Hyde. Gackt is always speaking well of Hyde, and when I say well I mean incredibly well. Incredibly well as in “OH GOD, IF ONLY HE WERE A WOMAN!”. Show me a woman superior to Hyde, and I will eat these words.

5) He said so.
Simple as that, ladies and gentlemen! In Gackt’s autobiography, he wrote that he would never marry again (he was briefly married to a Korean woman when he was younger). According to his autobiography, the only condition under which Gackt would marry would be if on his deathbed, a woman he had lived with stayed with him until the end asked that they be legally married.

So there you have it! Five reasons one of the sexiest men to ever walk the earth will be single forever. Makes you feel a little better about your own luck in love, doesn’t it?

Um...to me, Gackt is Gackt. LOL It’s a weird explanation but people are going to do what they want and if Gackt does not want to be in a relationship, that’s fine by me.

Oh man, no traditional Filipino serenades for me. One thing I know about Filipino romances is its cheesiness. Besides, I don’t think I could date a Filipino guy. We might be/end up related (oh that’s quite common, at least for me).
