The Japanese have done it again.

Soon the world the way we view it, at least entertainment-wise, will soar much higher into the stratosphere. Undiscovered territory within a new universe will be able to be reached through virtual 3D simulation via their Blu-Ray player PS3.

Just what the hell am I mumbling about? Have you paid an extra sum of money to go to a theater in 3D? (Admittedly I haven’t been to IMAX yet, but I’ve seen Captain EO in Disneyland!) Well, very soon you will be able to bring that experience home. The best part is that you won’t need any additional equipment, if you already have a blu-ray player and an HDTV. (That I have).

Sony and the BDTM speak of the unparalleled experience through an exquisite array of eye candy, one in which a viewer can discover terrain not yet treaded — OK, fine. Sony didn’t say that, that’s my own marketing ploy.

How about Star Wars in 3D-HD? I’m positive that’s the first recommendation in the works. I really would like to see BoA’s tours in 3D-HD. Will they ever even come to Blu-Ray period? Boo. At this rate, the holographic messaging that you can see in the old Star Wars films will surely come to pass. Where are the flying cars, dammit??!!
