Japan has spoken (or at least the community at Best Salon has) and we get a list for their best salon hairstyles of 2009 for both males and females.

Best Salon is an internet portal site where people can look up beauty related services across Japan. The site conducted a poll for its users to vote for the hairstyles they liked for the ending year. The results are thus:

Although I wouldn’t try some of the styles, I think the ranking for the women are cute. The styles themselves are nothing unusual or original. However, the men’s selection has a few interesting and surprising choices like the mohicans and patterned shaves on the sides.
