Although I’ve been a fan of John Cho since I first laid eyes on him, it wasn’t until about a year ago that I learned that he was the vocalist of Left of Zed, now called Viva La Union. Haunted by the chorus of “I Soviet”, I became determined to see it played live. Unfortunately, almost certainly due to John Cho’s busy schedule, gigs were few and far between, and by the time I finally heard about one, it had already happened.

Sure, missing that gig was my fault, but clearly this band needs to play more gigs. Assuming I can’t have Daniel Henney and Three Rivers back, all I want for Christmas is the opportunity to attend a Viva La Union gig. Hearing John Cho’s moving vocals in person would satisfy my ears for a long, long time.
