When it comes fashion in the world of Asian pop this year, I’ve only two words: avant garde. We’ve seen it in everyone from 2NE1 to just about every boy band that debuted this year. One can only speculate that this trend for the high-end has much to do with the Internet introducing the masses to the world of high-end fashion and the fact that…Kpop is kind of a big deal. Unfortunately for you and me, avant garde fashion is synonymous with high-end. High-end is synonymous with me spending a sizable amount of time drooling over clothes I cannot afford. Hence my Christmas wish for 2NE1’s wardrobe!

This year 2NE1 has donned at least one piece from collections I loved the most this year: Balmain, Maison Martin Margiela, Alexander Wang, Sofie Ann Back, Galliano, Kokon to Zai…I could go on. Check out my most coveted 2NE1 looks:

For the story Christmas Wish No. 2: For my Asian mom to stop hitting me with brooms: I could definitely relate. My mom mainly used slippers though. But every once in a while, she’d go with a hanger. That one would hurt. =\

Christmas Wish No. 5: For Epik High’s DJ Tukutz to return from the army: This is sad but it isn’t like he won’t come back.

Christmas Wish No. 6: A surplus of sexy, hot Asian male celebrities under the mistletoe: Yes and Rain wearing shorts doing his workout in the beginning of Ninja Assassin under the mistletoe would be just fine. :D

Christmas Wish. No 7: A life-sized Gundam figure: I would like to at least see this in person.

Christmas Wish No. 8: For Girls’ Generation to be my girlfriend(s): Well at least you would be feeding them more than 900 calories a day unlike SM.

Christmas Wish No. 9: For Three Rivers to Come Back to TV: If it did, Daniel would be all that I would see so I agree with you Laren.

Christmas Wish No.10: For weird people to stop oogling me at Vietnamese Coffee Shops: I hope they won’t stare at you either.

Christmas Wish No. 11: A scandal free 2010 for Korean Entertainment: This is what happens when a society such as Korea is innocent but conservative. Now I see why artists like Lady Gaga are big in Korea.

Christmas Wish No.12: A library full of manga: I definitely agree with this! smile
