It’s been released recently at MangaGamer.com. Unfortunately, not everything was included from the original Japanese version. The music room, a mini game and staff room were removed. The biggest change was that the BGM was also removed so this may discourage people from playing this release and rather wait for an “unofficial” English patch. Finally, SquareEnix has released Final Fantasy VIII onto the PlayStation Network. The original PlayStation One game is available on the PS3 and PSP for $9.99 (a whole heck of a lot cheaper than the eBay prices are going for).
