Japanese cell phone company Softbank has been putting out some very odd commercials lately. Ones featuring western movie stars in ways you’d never expect. While at first you may think Brad Pitt is a bit crazy for doing this commercial, realize that you would probably do a whole lot more for a lot less than he is getting. More »

From Blitznation:
Welcome to day number one of our football/dating combination, as we prepare you for the launch of Mixr Media’s new and innovative dating site, CrazySingleLife. Today’s mission on BlitzNation: to take a look at some of the things that we’ve learned from the dating habits of NFL players.
So needless to say, we’ve got some intriguing lesson that we’ve learned. Let’s get right to it, and give you five things that we’ve learned about dating from NFLers: More »

Gunbuster is a super robot anime (6 episode OVA) with the most hot blooded female anime character I have ever seen. Takaya Noriko is just a normal girl with a pure admiration for an female upperclassman. She attends a school that trains her how to pilot giant robots to battle off an alien invasion. More »

Oh yes, a blog about the “newb” Korean dramas, but hey, they are the most recommended for a good reason. If a person new to Korean culture is looking to get started on the right foot, this is for him/her because it was exactly how I started. Although I’ve seen many Korean dramas after these, the drama’s love story here has not been beaten. More »

From Rekuru:
We don’t often look to anime to warm the cockles of our hearts, and so in compiling this, my list of the top four official anime couples, I had to rule out anything involving large age gaps, harems, animals, sadomasochism and tentacles. Yes, official couples: shippers despair. But your hour may yet come.
And so, without further ado, it’s time to ask that all-important question: Just what the heck are “cockles?” More »

Great news for Asians! The Korean movie Phone was good enough to be made into an American movie! I have heard of the movie, but I forgot the plot. Nevermind that, but how cool is this? A Korean movie is being recognized by the American movie industry! Oh, how I long for more of these recognitions. More »

From Wirebot:
With the holidays right around the corner and the recession in full swing there is no doubt everyone is feeling the pressure to pinch-pennies this holiday season. If you’re unable to shell out $60 for a new game for that special gamer on your list, here’s a thrifty list of ideas that won’t set you back anything more than a Jackson. More »

One thing I’ve always hated is how lazy janitors are. They’re always cleaning, and doing ‘work’, and ‘trying to make things look better.’ Blah. Who needs that when you can have a robot that picks up trash via laser! More »

From Wirebot:
I don’t care what video game haters and protesters say - video games are educational. They can teach you better hand-eye coordination, decision making, leadership skills, and, perhaps most importantly of all - dating secrets.
Why else would Harvest Moon be around for so long? Do you really think that it’s the exciting premise of waking up every morning to do chores, raise and water crops, and pull weeds from your farm? Of course not! It’s the dating and courting aspect that makes the game so appealing. Every Harvest Moon game is about two things: farming, and getting married. But you don’t just pick a girl you like and marry her. You have to win her heart, increase her affection towards you, and only then can you try to push your relationship beyond “just friends” to “just married.”
I think some men need to play Harvest Moon, to learn a thing or two. Here are 7 lessons that Harvest Moon teaches you about dating and winning a woman over (and please note that while these are addressed at men, and are about women, most of them can be applied to either sex). More »

Just to let you know, I’m a MAJOR Girls’ Generation fan! :) First, I am going to give Girls’ Generation their own little ranking within my list of Asian celebs I’d like to date. More »

FYI, F.cuz isn’t a bad word, but a new debuting group. So damn my American mind. The first thing that popped into my head was — that word. Yeah, that. The word that uneducated folks use to substitute every other word in their limited vocabulary, or one that is used when an intelligent person is pissed. It’s actually pronounced as “FOCUS” sure, like we’d know that. More »

When I first saw the manga titled “Kampfer,” I was expecting something as badass as this (it’s the mobile suit Kampfer from Gundam: War in a Pocket). Obviously, I was disappointed. Until I read the summary for it. Some normal high school boy wakes up as a magical girl. What can go wrong? More »

Nana by Ai Yazwa is chock-filled with rock music, love triangles, hot guys, scandals and comedy: A deliciously perfect recipe for drama. More »

Woot Korea! Probably one of the best Asian countries to visit especially because of Kpop! If you didn’t know, SM Entertainment artists have been responsible for making the official commericial for Seoul. Tourists have increased over the year, probably because of the cultural movement of kpop and kdramas. More »

Why more controversies? The crazy, popular, exciting, thrilling, amazing, wonderful, and sexy drama IRIS have some problems on their hands. More »

As part of the ongoing preview on CrazySingleLife, we’re going to introduce some of the dating stars before the site launches. Each dater on CSL will have an alias derived from a color. They also have to write two posts before they start dating, an introduction post and a Mr./Mrs. Right post. The introduction post is meant as a description of themselves, but not like height, age, occupation. It’s more a window into their soul and the journey that their heart has been on. The second post is an open letter to the future Mr./Mrs. Right so that he or she will know to come calling on our daters.
The following except is from the introductory letter of Steel, one of the two male bloggers for CSL. On Monday, you met Tenne, yesterday you met Cerulean and tomorrow you’ll meet them all. Enjoy! More »

Apparently, Bakuman is getting an anime adaption. There’s not much info besides the single line “Bakuman TV Anime decided. ETV Fall.” Not sure how I feel about this. It doesn’t seem like there’s much to animate. It looks like it’s going to be 20 minutes of people talking to each other — about manga. Still, I’m very curious to see how this will turn out. Hopefully it doesn’t go down like Death Note with yaoi undertones between Light and L. That was just nasty.

From Girlybubble: Okay. Before anyone starts throwing things at me for picking Super Junior, a Kpop boy group over just focusing on one cute boy this week, let me plead my case. Having to handpick one cute boy is really tough. Almost kind of stressful, really. The world, it’s full of cute boys — why do I have to settle on just one a week for the Cute Boy of the Week feature? Kpop boy bands in my opinion, were made to address this issue. More »
