After years of singing and taking care of her young son, Namie Amuro has finally settled down a bit by nabbing herself a boyfriend! And who is the lucky fella? None other than comedian Atsushi Tamura.

They met last summer at a mutual friend’s party and since then kept in contact with each other, evidenced by the trip to Sedona, Arizona over the New Year’s break. The recent issue of Josei Seven contains photos of Namie and Atsushi looking like a happy couple holding hands and leaning on each other’s shoulders.

I guess they wanted to keep their relationship on the downlow since they took separate flights to America. But alas the papparazzi has a way of finding out all of a celebrity’s secrets. The couple was spotted boarding a flight to Phoenix, Arizona, and it has also been reported that Namie slept on Atsushi’s shoulder during the flight. The couple was later seen checking into a resort in Sedona.

I’m glad Namie is enjoying herself and relaxing after releasing an album last month. I don’t know much about Atsushi but I heard he is the playboy type and that he has a rough sense of humor. Hopefully it’s not true and that he’ll treat her right. Wish them both luck and happiness in this relationship.
