This year I will strive to be a better and more cautious driver. Have you ever noticed how many Kdramas involve traumatic car accidents in the form of flashbacks or people getting hit by cars and losing their memory?! Not to mention all of the Kdrama and Kpop stars who were involved in real life car accidents in 2009, affecting their filming schedules and causing concern among their fans.

I am lucky and grateful that I have not lost a family member in a traumatic car accident and have not been haunted from the memory so much that it’s left me emotionally scarred and unavailable (Boys Before Flowers, Shining Inheritance, My Lovely Kim Sam Soon). I will use my memory of these dramas to be a responsible driver and pedestrian. I will look both ways when crossing the street and try not to anger my evil stepsister who may be out to get me (Stairway to Heaven).

I will also work on my memory and being more aware of my speed. In light of my most recent speeding ticket (which I got on New Year’s Eve), feigning ignorance and memory loss won’t cut it with California Highway Patrol.
