You probably all know about 2NE1 and Big Bang’s cell phone promoting song called “Lollipop,” but you may not be aware that the LG Lollipop cell phone is also hitting China, entailing a Chinese version of the song. The recently released song is a collaboration between Korean girl group f(x) and Chinese guy group M.I.C.. My guess is they chose f(x) due to the fact that two of the five members speak fluent Mandarin. So now the question is: Who did it better?
I’m going to abandon my half-Chinese roots here and go with the original Korean version. Aside from being a fan of both 2NE1 and Big Bang, I feel like the Korean version is a lot more energetic and catchy. Although I would deem the Chinese version equally as catchy, I think the Chinese version is a little more reserved; it just doesn’t have that extra “umph” quality. But, hey, which song you like better is for you to decide. What do you think?
