Matsuyama Kenichi is one fine man. Not only that but he’s a great actor, taking parts in various movies and television shows. He’s known for his roles as L (Death Note), Shin (first Nana movie) and Soichi Negishi (Detroit Metal City).
Also known as Matsuken, his first acting role was on the popular show Gokusen, where he played Kenichi Mouri and in 2003 starred in his first movie role in Bright Future as a minor character. Since then he has starred in various movies and tv shows, gaining him a nice fanbase. However, his role as the strangely lovable character L in the Death Note movies has garnered him much attention. There was even a spinoff Deathnote movie based on his character titled L: Change The World. We just can’t get enough of Matsuken and L.
His acting skills are amazing, considering all the strange roles he tends to take up. He’s played a genius detective, death metal rocker, ninja, robot obsessed otaku and, well, I think you get the picture. He could say he’s like the Johnny Depp of Japan.
His hobbies are pole vaulting and wheelchair basketball. These hobbies are quite unique for I do not know a single person who likes pole vaulting or wheelchair basketball. Though, I guess the pole vaulting makes sense since he competed in it during his middle school days.
You ladies out there are probably wondering, what kind of woman is he looking for? Have no worries if you’re careful, honest, and understanding- all traits in which Matsuyama Kenichi wants in a woman. However, if you are pretentious or have an “empty laugh” you should avoid him since he dislikes women like that.
Here are the many looks of Matsuyama Kenichi. See if you can name some (or all?) of his roles or at least the movies/shows they came from. Enjoy~
