Besides my ongoing series on the impending “Robot Rebellion,” I’ve also been taking time to point out the brewing “Giant Robot Statue Cold War” that’s going on in Asia right now. Before it was just Japan and Korea, but it seems Taiwan has just entered the race.

While this statue of Optimus Prime might not be as ‘cool’ or ‘insane’ as Gundams in Tokyo or 360 foot statues in Korea, it still represents Taiwan’s first step in becoming a world leader in “Giant Robot Statues.”

Made from over $1,600 in scrap metal and with the hands of a loving father, Optimus Prime is life sized at 14 foot. Making it the coolest Transformers action figure ever. Yes, even cooler that Astrotrain.

I’m waiting for the scientist to announce his CPU and fuel source for these robots. At least then I know when to move when WW3 occurs..
