You probably all know about 2NE1 and Big Bang’s cell phone promoting song called “Lollipop,” but you may not be aware that the LG Lollipop cell phone is also hitting China, entailing a Chinese version of the song. The recently released song is a collaboration between Korean girl group f(x) and Chinese guy group M.I.C.. My guess is they chose f(x) due to the fact that two of the five members speak fluent Mandarin. So now the question is: Who did it better? More »
With great stories, comes The Daily Mixr.
Last summer, Girls’ Generation requested for you to, “tell me your wish.” Now in 2010, the girls aren’t done with your wishes, fortunes or future, because they have transformed into “fortune tellers.” Hmm, I’d say half fortune teller, half hippie if you ask me. But actually they are retro cheerleaders! More »
And now, one of the moments you’ve been waiting for all day! In all corners of the flash game ring are 4 of the Mixr League Gaming’s strongest teams made up of the best flash game players, this side of the Mixr River. I found this video a couple of months ago, but every time I watch it, I love it even more. Underappreciated Korean artists Tei and Park Hyo Shin cover Dreamgirls Beyoncé’s “Listen.” These two ballad singers kill (in a good way) the song. Even though their English isn’t the best, their voices… Oh, their voices. I really can’t explain how amazing they are. Just watch!!!
Another one of my favorites is former KARA member Sunghee. I didn’t know KARA before “Pretty Girl,” but they definitely lost a winner.
From Wirebot: I remember playing the demo version of the first release of this game series on PS2 and seriously wanting to get it. It was fun. It was innovative. One second I was beating up thugs. The next second I was playing baseball. A third second I was in a lounge chilling with girls. It was fun (sadly I never got it because it was rated M and I was young). More »
Nothing outlasts The Daily Mixr. It keeps going, and going, and going, and going…
When I first saw Steve Byrne perform stand-up on The Tonight Show last year, I knew he’d be going places from there. What sets him apart from most comedians is the fact that he doesn’t just stand when he does stand-up. He channels a lot of his comedic energy into moving around on stage. Not just on stage, but on TV and film. He has appeared on the big screen with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon in Four Christmases , Jeremy Piven and Will Ferrell in The Goods: The Don Ready Story and Vince Vaughn film Couples Retreat. In addition, he’s no stranger to popular late night TV shows and his Comedy Central special has been hailed one of the best of all time. Steve was kind enough to let me interview him! More »
Final Fantasy, the first 2 of the legendary RPGS that shaped the face of all RPGs are getting yet another remake. The game has been remade so many times already, yet each time they updated the graphics, game play and even added video cinematics unseen in the original. The PSP version was the latest version, and now the iPhone/iPod gets a port but this time with advanced easy-to-use menus. It looks like maybe even better drawings. More »
As I was roaming LiveJournal today, I saw the best thing ever. Japan is going to be hit by the Glee wave. Akebono Tarō stars in the commercial, and it seems to me that he is every “loser’s” savior. Watch as this Hawaii native and retired sumo wrestler slaps a guy into singing and gets two young wrestler’s to dance with him! More »
