All manga obsessions have to start somewhere; it just so happened Sailor Moon was mine. It’s pretty typical no matter how you look at it. I was in elementary school, 3rd or 4th grade, and my friend lent me the manga volumes. I watched the anime as well. I like to think that Sailor Moon, Pokémon, and Digimon led me to be the way I am today. (Btw I totally got the Digimon movie on DVD last Saturday.)

What I find odd is that my second manga was Love Hina –how that happened I will never know. I thought it was hilarious although some people think it’s dirty. Then I got Fruits Basket and started subscribing to Shonen Jump, then the now deceased Shojo Beat. But no matter how you look at it, Sailor Moon started my what I like to call semi-otaku ways (I’m not hardcore though).

What was your first manga? I really want to know. ^_^

The anime/manga are completely different than the movies.


Yeah, I loved Full Metal Alchemist when I had a chance to read it. I’m never watched anime before…

I also like Death Note, although I’ve only watched the live action movie for that.


That’s a great manga/anime. It’s currently going on right now, it’s going according to the manga unlike the previous anime. (It’s a remake)

Maybe you should look into it. It’s really great.


...Oh, that’s probably true. It IS shuojo manga, after all. (Or whatever you call it. xP)
What do you think of Full Metal Alchemist? I never finished that either, but I loved what I’ve read of it.


I never bothered with the anime/manga. It looks too girly for my taste.


I did, but I think it unfortunately lacks a cohesive plot early on. But I really like how different all the characters are, so that was definitely a big plus in my book.
