When I first started reading Yankee-kun to Meganee-chan last year, I wasn’t impressed at all. The art wasn’t that great and the story was boring. Something changed though. I recently re-read the first chapters and caught up to the most recent chapter and for some reason everything seemed better. While the beginning was still weak, it gets a lot better after. The characters are pretty funny and unique. You have a delinquent and a class rep but the series starts to get good once they form a student council with other delinquents. The class rep seems like a nerd at first but she actually has terrible grades. And the main character seems stupid but proves that he’s able to get good grades. Each chapter deals with how they live their school life. Although it sounds normal enough, they can get into some pretty bizarre situations.
