So in addition to covering the Chuno episodes, I’ll also be covering the Bleach anime and manga. Typically these posts will come out on Wednesday and Friday respectively. Anyway, this week’s anime episode was called “Byakuya’s Anger! The Kuchiki Family Collapses.” Read on for the low down on the episode…

So just when we all thought that this filler series was going to end, this episode comes along and shows materialized Zanpakutou still prancing around. Apparently killing Muramasa didn’t solve all the problems, because “sword fiends” are now causing havoc. “Sword fiends” is a name coined by Captain Kurotsuchi to describe Zanpakutou that have killed their masters and are nor permanently materialized. These guys are extremely powerful, as they can harness their abilities to the fullest (constant bankai mode).

Anyway, Kurotsuchi orders Rukia to go out and capture one for experimentation. After a failed attempt to lure it with a drinking party, one of them attacks later that night and is beaten by the team of Rukia and Sode no Shirayuki. The plan now is to eradicate the rest of the sword fiends.

I predict that they are going to go out and start killing off the sword fiends. Eventually they’ll meet one that’s really powerful and Ichigo will come along and save the day. From the looks of the preview, it seems that the fiends have made it to the real world, too.
