Chuno Episode 10 was released the other day and just recently subbed. I just finished watching it. My one comment: WOW! Read on to find out what happened…

I’m going to save talking about Daegil for the end, because that can of worms is pretty intense. On Jeju Island, Han Seom, the young prince, and an unnamed court maid are running away from Chul Woong. Court maid is killed, and Han Seom ends up fighting Chul Woong, all while protecting the prince, who is surprisingly calm for a child with his life in danger. Anyway, eventually Han Seom is injured and in a corner. Go back a couple minutes and we find that Taeha and Unnyeong are following closely behind. Unnyeon gets too tired to keep running and Taeha rushes ahead while she stays and waits for him.

Taeha reaches Han Seom in the nick of time and engages in a fight with Chul Woong. Taeha wounds Chul Woong runs away with the prince and Han Seom to a secret boat. He tells them to wait there until he returns, explaining that he needs to go back for someone. Taeha returns to pick up Unnyeon, where they take an awfully long time to hug and kiss (seriously, it’s great and all, but some people are in a hurry to escape). Anyway, that’s the end of that.

NOW, back to Daegil. Daegil is one broken man. This episode shows a darker side to him. Having tracked down Unnyeon’s brother, Daegil is told by the brother that Unnyeon is only his half sister and that Daegil is his half brother. Apparently, Daegil’s father had a child with slave and covered it up. That same slave then had Unnyeon with a different guy. He continues by saying that after Daegil’s father found out about the relationship he had with Unnyeon, she was tied up in a barn and starved. Furious, the brother goes and kills his/Daegil’s father.

In addition to all this, he tells Daegil to stop pursuing Unnyeon because she is already married to Taeha. The brother then kills himself and Daegil is left angry and confused. Sulhwa is there to witness the entire thing, and she watches as he drinks himself into a stupor. At the end, Daegil has a symbolic hallucination of Unnyeon walking away from him and disappearing.

This drama just keeps getting better and better! Stay tuned for predictions tomorrow!!
