Today’s session of Music Video of the Day features a talented J-pop group that isn’t quite Japanese. Please welcome Monkey Majik! This group consists of 2 Canadian members, Maynard Plant and Blaise Plant (brothers), and 2 Japanese members, tax and DICK. The music video featured today, Sotsugyou, Soshite Mirai e., is one of my favorites for its simplicity and touching scenes. It’s like a mini movie. My favorite part is the ending because of the way they transitioned between the frames of the past and present. The song is soothing and calm. It’s one of those songs I can listen to all day. SEAMO’s rap makes the song a bit more energetic but not too much to take away the overall sereneness. It makes me want to reminisce about the past, especially my high school days. Ah, the good ol’ days seem to go by so fast…

MONKEY MAJIK! haha yea they’re pretty awesome. I’m so glad I caught them on their 2-stop Canadian tour in Vancouver last year

^ Yeah, it’s pretty good. ^_^

i havent heard this one by them either, but i like it ^_^

I’ve known them since m-flo did a compilation with them. I like Picture Perfect, Fly, and their re-do of the Lupin the Third theme

I love Monkey Majik. My favorite song is “Change” mainly because it has Yoshida Brothers in it :D

I’ve never heard this one by them. It’s also good like the rest of their stuff. The video was very nice and portrayed the happiness of music.
