Great news for High Skoolers (fan club) around the world. Epik High is going to be featured on CNN Talk Asia, a 30 minute documentary/interview segment on CNN TV, which is nearly broadcasted to 280 million people worldwide!

CNN Talk Asia has featured many well-known public figures such as Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, Jackie Chan, Karl Lagerfeld, and Roger Federer. Although Epik High isn’t the first Korean celebrity to be featured (others before them were Rain, Lee Byung-Hun, and Park Ji-Sung), they are the first Korean musical group to be featured.

It’s no surprise, really, that Epik High would be featured on such a show. I mean they sold out their USA Map the Soul Tour tickets (first k-pop act to do such a thing), their [e] album made it into the top 100 of the iTunes USA Hip-Hop/Rap chart, their Remixing the Human Soul album made it into the top 5 of the iTunes USA Electronic chart, and they recently received the Golden Disk Award for Best Korean Hip-Hop/Rap Artist. Way to go Epik High!

Tablo has also expressed his gratitude for such an opportunity. “I found it very cool that CNN had a keen interest in the depth and diversity of the Korean music scene — it’s a major honor for us to represent Korean hip-hop on such a huge worldwide stage.”

Mark your calendars for April 21 at 10:30pm KST to witness Tablo and Mithra do their thing on global television.
