Did you watched the Olympics on Saturday (Feb. 20)? It was the night when Apolo Anton Ono won a bronze medal for coming in third place behind Korea’s Jung-Su Lee and Ho-Suk Lee during the 1000 meter short track. It is his seventh medal making him the most medal won by a US Winter Olympian in history.

That race showed how great a skater Apolo Anton Ono really is! He was trailing in last place but during the last few laps was able to find a way to skate pass his opponents to third place. He could have easily taken home the gold but had one minor mistake during a turn which made him lose speed. All in all, he was able to squeeze himself to a bronze medal– his seventh medal! What an accomplishment!
