Bleach Episode 259: Terror! The Monster That Lurks Underground

Fillers are fun. Not really, but at least it’s something half entertaining to watch when I’m bored on Tuesday/Wednesday nights. Bleach Episode 259 came out today. The new installment is entitled “Terror! The Monster That Lurks Underground.”

The story shifts back to Soul Society where someone has been stealing food items from the fourth squad barracks. The tracks lead into the underground sewer system. Suspecting a sword fiend, a team of Nanao, Hanataru, Ikkaku, and Houzikumaru venture into the underground maze.

Eventually, Ikkaku is attacked by a Krakken-like sword fiend. The others run away, only to run into the thief: Hanataru’s zampakutou. After both Nanao and Houzikimaru fail at defeating the squid, Hanataru’s zampakutou activates its special ability and blows the foe away. All is at peace again in Soul Society.
