Wow! Chuno is certainly a great drama that appeals to a lot of different people. Both of my non-Asian roommates are starting to get addicted to it and are constantly looking over my shoulder or telling me to move over when I’m watching it. I watched episode 13 today. Read on to see what happened.
As I predicted, Daegil backs off after seeing Unnyeon, Taeha, and Won Son. I think he is under the impression that the three are a “family” now, but my notion wasn’t made clear. Anyway, Daegil leaves in complete sorrow and collapses in the middle of the market, crying in agony. Sulhwa sees him and seeing him in such a state upsets her.
When he returns to where the rest of the gang is staying later that night, he is disoriented, and Wang Son and General Choi are concerned. The next morning, Wang Son strikes a nerve with Daegil, and they have a short scuffle. Later, Daegil reveals that he wants to quit slave hunting and go live on a patch of land that he has already purchased for the three. The plan is to send Sulhwa off with some money and new clothes, so Daegil escorts her back to the market.
Meanwhile, Ji Ho returns to his home, only to find out that all of his subordinates have “comitted suicide.” Enraged, he begins going after Chul Woong for revenge.
In yet another area, the slaves are training their gun shooting skills. The male slaves are shown up by a female slave.
Now back to the main story, Unnyeon is in the market to buy food for the young king. Guess who else is there? Right. Daegil and Sulhwa. Unnyeon sees Daegil, and they make eye contact. END OF EPISODE.
