Kazuya Kamenashi, part of the Japanese boyband KAT-TUN, has a become a sportscaster for “GOing!! Sports & News,” which is going to replace NTV’s current sports show, “SUPER Urugusu.” The new show will be hosted by Comedian Shinya Ueda of Cream Stew and baseball commentator Suguru Egawa. Kamenashi will be a supporting caster. Kamenashi, although he is a pretty boy singer, is actually a really good baseball pitcher, who actually took part in an international competition. This is mention on about every show he appears on these days. On one show I watched, he struck out 3 Japanese professional batters although he was pitching a softball, which makes it harder for baseball players to hit home runs. I have no doubt Kamenashi will do great in his new position. He is the first boybander to become a newscaster as his sempai in Johnnys Entertainment, Arashi’s Sho Sakurai is a regular newscaster for News ZERO. Anyway, Congratulations!
