The Olympics is heating up on the ice, and for the past couple days, South Korean figure skater Kim Yuna has been skating up quite a storm.

Wednesday night, fans from all over the world watched anxiously as Yuna skated the short program. She skated her way to victory, beating out Japan’s Mao Asada by 4.72 points. Her total score for the short program totaled to 78.50, which shattered the previous world record.

It doesn’t stop there, though. Last night, Yuna took to the ice once again for the long program. Once again, Yuna was able to beat out Japan’s Mao Asada and take home the gold. Her score was 150.05. Well, guess what? That’s another world record!

Overall, her total score was 228.56. It’s people like Yuna (who’s my age) that make me feel like I’ve accomplished nothing in my life. Well, a BIG congratulations to Yuna! WAY TO GO, GIRL!!
