Arashi dominates another award ceremony

Once again, Arashi wins almost all of the awards. At the Japan Gold Disc Awards, Arashi won 10 awards. No other artist has ever done this. Along with their pwnage of the Oricon charts, claiming four of the top five spots of sales for singles. At the Gold Disc Awards, they won Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Music Video. They were also one of the best-selling artists of 2009, with 2.45 million singles, 1.77 million albums, 1.14 million videos, and 3.07 million digital downloads.
I think this officially solidifies Arashi’s spot as one of Japan’s top artists. Hopefully, they will keep this streak up in 2010. Here’s the music video for their new single and theme song for Sho Sakurai’s drama, “Troublemaker.”
