It’s been a sad couple of days for a Shenzhen man who spoke to his father, even after his death.
The man’s father was found dead in an underground tunnel, possibly due to cardiovascular disease. When the son found out about the news, he rushed to the scene, picked up his dad, and laid him next to a basketball court. After his friends lit him a cigarette, he put his dad against the wire netting of the basketball court and started talking to him.
He was in denial of his father’s death. He held his hand and touched his chest while he was talking to him. “Dad….we spoke on the phone only this morning.” Tears eventually left him and he even smiled here and there, still trying to talk to his father. This touched passerbys as they shed some tears and even questioned if the man was still alive. His mother could only hold her granddaughter and mourn on the side. The scene must have been intensely emotional.
It’s good to see such a close and faithful family relationship even if the situation isn’t exactly what you call ideal. I hope the man and the rest of the family can overcome this grief and move on. My heart goes out to them. I can only say R.I.P. for the father.
