Leaders are an essential part to any group. They help keep things in order and are responsible for both encouraging their members and keeping them in line. With the recent rise of girl groups in the Korean music industry, I find that there are some effective leaders and some leaders that simply are not. Here’s Tuc’s Take…

Head B*tch in Charge award: Kahi [After School] & CL [2NE1]

Power Vocal award: Tae Yeon [SNSD] & Sun Ye [Wonder Girls]

Useless/Nondescript award: Ji Hyun [4minute]

HOT award: Jae Kyung [Rainbow]

And that just about rounds out my list…

Who are the best and worst Kpop girl group leaders in your opinion?

Yeah, I think Sun Ye was always the leader of the Wondergirls. People are probably getting confused because Hyunah gets the most publicity/is the most well known in 4 Minute?

I’m sure Ayumi meant otherwise, but I won’t really talk for her, well cause I’m not her. lol

I always thought Hyunah was the leader as well.


Why is Gyuri a useless leader, cheeky? I don’t believe that.

its been almost a year since 4minute debuted, and now, after reading this post, I finally know who the leader is! haha, grrreeaat~

I would put Kara’s leader in the useless category.
