Today’s Bleach episode is entitled “The Person with the Unknown Ability! Orihime is Targeted.” It is yet another addition to the filler zanpakutou arc. This episode, as the title states, centers more around the character of Inoue Orihime.

SPOILER ALERT!!

The episode starts off by introducing a new character, Haida Kyouku, to the story. It is later revealed that she moved to Karakura High because her once best friend was afraid of the abilities that Haida possesses.

Meanwhile, it seems that girls with a specific bear phone chain are being attacked. Later we find out that the phone chain is the same one that Haida was going to give to her former best friend Mai before they had a falling out.

Anyway, Ichigo and Rukia are tracking the reiatsu of a sword fiend in the area that seems to be connected to the attacks. We then find out that Haida is being possessed by a sword fiend, and, in a rage, goes after Mai to kill her. Orihime, being the incredibly nice person that she always is, follows and tries to stop Haida. Ichigo and Rukia come to save the day, and Orihime uses her Sacred Dual Return Shield to separate Haida and the sword fiend. Ichigo finishes the job.

After all this mess, Orihime finds a new friend in Haida. Yay! A happy ending.
