Yesterday, Hideki Matsui finally got to play baseball as an Anaheim Angel. The Angels went up against the San Diego Padres. Knowing thousands of Angels fans and Japanese fans will be watching his debut game, with the pressure, Matsui made a good effort and managed to go 1 for 2. He was struck out by Chris Young in the 1st inning, but was able to ground single against Radhames Liz’s pitch in the 4th inning. After nine innings, the Anaheim Angels won with the score of 6-5 over the Padres. It’s a good start for Matsui as an Angel!

Best of luck to him!

Although he’s not a Yankees anymore, he is still a great player. I will just have to be against him now. :(
