A South Korean couple takes online gaming addiction to a whole new level. They were so addicted to an online game called Prius Online that they neglected to properly feed their three month old daughter who sadly died due to the parents’ lack of sense. Poor child.

The couple only fed their baby once a day when they weren’t spending their “necessary” 12 hours at an internet cafe. This obviously isn’t enough to care for a child. The child died of “a long period of malnutrition.” Makes you wonder if they even fed her the right kinds of food.

Their reasoning for playing the game so vigorously is pathetic too. They “lost their will to live a normal life” after losing their jobs. So they decided to invest their time to Prius Online to escape reality. Well that’s all good for them but what about their child? They just left her to face the harsh reality on her own and look at what happened.

What bugs me even more is that they were “raising” a virtual daughter by the name of Anima. Anyone has the ability to interact with Anima in the game to help her recover her memories and develop emotions. I guess the couple thought their real daughter wasn’t exciting enough to take care of. How sad.

At least they were both arrested by police 5 months after they reported her death. The autopsy revealed the neglect the parents showed to their child.
