Women usually avoid “losers” (guys who have never had a girlfriend in their life) like the plague. However Japanese love and relationship blog Otome Sugoren has stated eight reasons why women should date these kinds of men.

1) You can change him the way you want him to be. Since you may be his first girlfriend, he would be willing to do almost anything you want. Just don’t be too forceful…

2) He would appreciate the simple things you do such as holding his hand or cooking for him. These would be new experiences for him.

3) Don’t need to worry about being compared to a previous girlfriend. Just remember not to compare him too much to your previous boyfriends.

4) You can have an innocent romance. Your new beau would be nervous just to be around you so you don’t have to really worry about improper “passes”.

5) Don’t need to worry about other girls. He probably doesn’t know how to speak with the opposite sex too well so it’s safe to say he won’t have any “close” female friends. However you should watch your actions around other men since he might get easily jealous.

6) No tactics needed for this relationship. No need to play a certain girlfriend role to get what you want. He may overreact to your sudden change in disposition. Just be honest with him.

7) He’ll remember the important events such as anniversaries. Since he’s dating for the first time, he’ll want to try his best to keep the relationship. So you can tell him what to expect or do when important dates are about to come up.

8) No worry for cheating! He will probably take this first relationship seriously (who knows if he’ll ever get to have another girlfriend?) so cheating would be a no-no for him but “romance can open a man’s eyes so you’d better watch him closely.”

I agree with what Gideon said.


Most women Ive encountered prefer a man to lead in the relationship, to be the strong one the woman can depend on. I think this may work in Japan but not in the US.  Different cultural sexual roles means this will not work in every country.


I personally, have no qualms dating a guy with no experience…


interesting list, i wonder what the guys would say about this.


LOL, Jinra. I hear ya, sista. But I have dated a few guys with no experience and I like it better than the guy I dated who had experience. I’m too much of a control freak to date someone who knew what he wanted more than me.


^ I guess I’m the opposite. I like the list. I’d probably mess around with him a lot. I like seeing guy’s nervous faces and seeing them act all awkward. I think I’d be quite the sadist in a relationship. :O


I don’t necessarily agree with this list. I prefer a man with experience. CAN I GET A WITNESS?!
