16-year-old Xiao Wei and his 18-year old friend Huang Shen were playing video games at an internet cafe where he was employed at, when a gang approached them and asked them to install unauthorized software that would help them beat Xiao’s high score in Counter Strike. Things got out of hand when they refused their request.
The gang accused Xiao of cheating and an argument ensued during which Huang was stabbed in the left arm and Xiao was left with a kitchen knife in his head. As you can see in the picture, the whole blade of the knife was basically installed to his head. Doctors were amazed when Xiao’s friends brought him to the hospital. They thought it was a prank at first until Xiao collapsed.
The doctors worked on him for two hours to remove the blade. He may experience brain damage, infection, or epileptic fits post-surgery. Miraculously though, the blade did not hit any vital arteries or nerves. He’s lucky to be conscious and alive.
I say this a lot to people who tend to get worked up over games but this gang really needs to take it to heart: IT IS JUST A GAME! No need to stab someone over cheating. Now you’re a wanted criminal and everyone now knows that you couldn’t get a high score in Counter Strike. It’s funny though. They accuse Xiao of cheating yet they wanted to install software to help them beat his score. Last time I checked, that’s considered cheating too.
